Since 2013, MASSCreative has worked with creative community partners to connect voters in the creative sector with candidates during election season. Through our Create the Vote initiative, we've focused on candidate engagement, voter education, organizing, turnout, and getting out the vote! This year is no different.

We’re excited to introduce our Get Out the Vote Communication Toolkit, a resource designed for all creative sector members. It's for cultural organizations, artists, and creative businesses like yours to help encourage voter participation and voter education. Everything you need—social media posts, email templates, and more—is included and ready for use!

October 29: Last day to apply to vote by mail

November 1: Early voting ends

    This election is critical, just like every year, and we encourage you to join us in voting.

    To help you prepare we encourage you to check Create the Vote's nonpartisan voter guides, These guides will help you see who’s on the ballot this year—every state representative, senator, and our Congressional reps are up for re-election. Let’s make sure we’re ready!


    Pro Tip: Early voting in Massachusetts begins October 19th and runs through November 1, 2024. We recommend voting early this year to avoid long lines at the polls.

    This a reminder that October 26 is the deadline to register to vote in this year's general election.


    If you already made it to the polls for early voting—awesome! We hope you will join us in encouraging your neighbors and friends to vote early.


    If you're still unsure about your registration status or if you've recently moved and need to update your voter information take action today to make sure you are registered to vote.

    The deadline to register is just three days away!


    HOW TO REGISTER

    If you need to register or check your registration, here's how you can do it in just four easy steps:

    1. Visit the Secretary of State's website: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/

    2. Click on the "Register to Vote" tab

    3. Enter your information

    4. Check your statue &/or register today!


    Once you are registered, you can check your polling location to make sure you're all set for Election Day.


    Did you know: In Massachusetts voter registration is open to those aged 16? It's true! Anyone 16 or older who is eligible can register, though you must be 18 to cast your ballot. So make sure to help any young adults in your life get registered too!

    Early voting in Massachusetts is already underway, and the last day to cast your early ballot is November 1st, 2024—right after Halloween!

  • Headline: Early Voting is Here – Have You Checked Your Voter Registration?

    In a little over two weeks registered voters across Massachusetts will head to the polls and cast their votes. {Organization Name} has partnered with MASSCreative this election season to encourage voter participation and education.
     

    The deadline to Register is just a few days away!

    Eligible voters must be registered to vote by October 26, 2024 in order to participate in this year’s election. 


    If you’ve recently moved to Massachusetts, moved to a new home, or made any changes that are different from what’s on your current ID, you’ll likely need to register or update your voter information. It’s quick and easy to do:

    1. Visit the Secretary of State's website: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/

    2. Click on the "Register to Vote" tab

    3. Enter your information

    4. Check your status or register today!


    Once you’re registered, you can also check your polling location to make sure you’re good to go for Election Day.


    A reminder: Massachusetts allows 16 and 17 year-olds to pre-register, so be sure to share this info with any young adults in your life. Let’s make sure we’re all set to make our voices heard this election season!

  • Headline: Election Day Is Fast Approaching

    On November 5th polls will open for in-person voting in this year's General Election. [Organization] is partnering with artists, creatives, and cultural groups across the Commonwealth to Create the Vote by encouraging voter turnout and increasing voter education.

    If you have already cast your vote during the early voting period or vote by mail we salute you! If you haven't cast your ballot, we encourage you to make your voting plan now for November 5th.


    Check Your Status & Find Your Polling Location
    If you’re unsure about your voter registration status or need help finding your polling location, here’s how you can quickly check:

    1. Visit the Secretary of State's website: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/

    2. Scroll down and click the "Register to Vote" tab

    3. Select "Check Voter Registration Information"

    4. From there, you can confirm your registration or find your polling place!

    Research the Candidates
    This year, in addition to the Presidential and Vice President, we will cast our votes for members of Congress and members of our State Legislature. Be sure you know who is running to represent you using the Create the Vote non-partisan voter guide.

    Bring a Friend
    Waiting to vote is more fun when you are with someone you know. Reach out to a neighbor and set a time when you can go together to the polls.
